I'm always on the lookout for great modern furniture built by small shop in the USA. The latest to hit my radar is Joe Joe Built It. They've got all sorts of FSC certified modern wood goodies, all at very reasonable prices considering what goes into making them. I'm going to close out this week with a sexy little wood and metal table I found on themodernshop.ca. It's called the Adaptable Table as it's available in multiple different color combinations. The table was designed by TAF Architects and is made by Muuto.
Kate Stokes of Australian Coco Flip sure does know how to make some beautiful lighting. The Coco Pendant and Coco Pendant Mini (shown here) is a beautiful combination of turned victorian ash and powder coated spun aluminum. Don't let the "mini" fool you either, its 15" diameter is only small compared to the original 23" Coco Pendant.

Inspired by the hexagon candle holders Capree posted about a few days ago, I bring you concrete hexagon coasters. I honestly had no idea that you could get this fine of detail with concrete, but I think it's absolutely amazing. They are not just pretty either. The pattern serves as a conduit to wick away moisture from the bottom of the glass. That's smart.
These coasters may be the final cherry on top for my robot obsession! All I need now are some robot drinking glasses* and I'm set... for life.
My friend on Facebook recently brought the work of Joseph Walsh to my attention. Much of his work is very organic and perhaps a bit too ornate looking for my taste, but the repeating geometric patterns of this Prism Round dining table appealed to my cold hard modernist heart. Not only is the design absolutely gorgeous, I have a huge amount of respect for the skill that went into pulling those joints off. I've recently been working on a project that has a similar leg design, and I can tell you it's not easy.

Last night while flipping though the new West Elm catalogue I spotted this fantastic Emmerson table made from reclaimed shipping pallets. First off, I would love to get my hands on some of those pallets, second this is a fabulous table for the money. I love that it just has a simple wax finish on it too.

I know, I know. Another West Elm post! But I'm telling you, this new catalog is blowing my mind. For realz. Just today, I was flipping through it and noticed this gorgeous dining set (which had somehow escaped my attention the 50 other times I looked through the catalog). Anyhow, I was struck by the simplified look and the throwback MCM-ness of it all. It's very on-trend for all the rustic/Scandinavian modern lovers, yet still has an air of vintage-y charm about it. What do you think?

Let's start this week off with a big helping of Scandinavian dining spaces, shall we? Because, really. These are some of the most inspiring interiors I've seen in a long time and it would be an utter shame not to share them with you. I spotted them over the weekend on Emma's Design Blog, a great source of enlightenment for lovers of the Scandi Modern style. The images come from RUM, a Danish design site.
